Stress is a part of life. There is
no escaping the fact that there is no such thing as a totally stress-free life.
And we wouldn’t want it if there was. There are two kinds of stress though.
Negative stress caused by challenges such as illness, mourning, losing a job,
failing a class at school, divorce, dealing with the IRS or a difficult boss, an
overly busy schedule, dealing with a person who “pushes our buttons.” etc, etc.
But there is also positive stress that comes from handling the good changes and
challenges in life. Buying a new house. Getting promoted at work. Graduating
school. Going away to college. Getting married. Having a baby. Surely none of us
would choose to skip these events to simply avoid the associated stress. There
is also physical stress from exercise or work. But the stress we commonly deal
with in hypnotherapy is stress associated with negative thinking (self-talk) and
emotions. All stress has an effect on the body. But the effect of these
negative stresses, experienced as anxiety, can damage our health and certainly
detract from our quality of life.
Whether you are dealing with
negative stress, positive stress or a combination of both, hypnotherapy can help
you feel better, think more clearly and act more effectively. It can help you
literally change the way you think about your life and the challenges you face.
You will replace fearful, worrisome thoughts with positive, constructive
thinking and actions. You will be guided to take action where you can and to
gracefully accept things that you cannot change.
The effect of hypnosis is usually
immediate. You will notice some changes after the first session. And through
follow-up sessions and working with the free audiotape of your session that you
have been given you will learn to permanently reframe your approach to the
stresses in your life. For some the results are nothing short of miraculous.
And you don't need to be coming to hypnotherapy specifically for stress relief
to lower your stress levels. Frequently clients who come for other issues report
a greater feeling of calmness and self-possession in their lives. Here are some comments from current and former
hypnosis clients:
Dear
John,
Thanks.
My
anxiety
is greatly reduced after
just a few hypnosis sessions. I feel that I can be myself and am enjoying an inner peace
that I had almost given up on ever attaining. The insights you helped me develop
went well beyond that I "expected". It is clear to me that you really care. And,
for that and your skill, I am forever grateful.

Dear
John,
Thank
you very much for our last session!
I saw a
real and significant change in my confidence and ability to focus productively
after our session and things have only gotten better. I've been having a lot
more fun and been more productive. I have been reticent about deciding whether
or not the hypnosis would work, as I have tried other ways of dealing with my
problems. Any relief I had experienced with other methods proved to be short
lived. I am glad to say that it has been a week later and things have only
gotten better!

Dear John,
First I would like to
thank you for your amazing talent. I feel like a new person today......For the
first time since I was a child I feel free from the prison in my mind which I've
been trapped in far too long. You've helped me change my life and words can't
express how grateful I am. I'm hoping after a few sessions with the tape you
gave me I will feel completely comfortable around people. This was by far the
most incredible thing to ever happen to me.
Thank you for having the key to unlock my prison door.
Sincerely,

Dear
John,
You
asked for my opinion about your Stress Release Video.
Well, I like it. Since I started watching it last week I can definitely report
and immediate relaxation of my usual Type A+++ tension. Also, I notice I am
sleeping much better at night. I think you have a winner.

Hi
John,
I wanted to take a quick minute to thank you for your wonderful help. I cannot
begin to tell you what your hypnotherapy sessions have done for me. Having the
"mommy-ectomy" was the best thing I have ever done for myself. Having no
reaction to the things
that Mother does is incredibly liberating. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
