the biggest enemy in long-term weight loss for most people is their mind.
Most any program will work provided you stay motivated for long term
success. Loss of
motivation is the single biggest factor in initial and sustained weight
loss.

Many people feel very defeated by diets that not only failed but caused a
re-bound into even greater weight gain. Hypnotic
support is the perfect way to maintain high motivation. It directly addresses
your subconscious mind where motivation resides (or fails to reside).
And this is not just an
opinion. Hypnosis has been proven to work in study-after-study.
Three
research studies reported in the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology
demonstrate this clearly.
More Weight Kept Off Two Years Later With Hypnosis
A 9-week study
was conducted of two weight loss groups. One group was given hypnotherapy for
weight loss. The other wasn’t.
A follow-up
two years later showed the people in the hypnosis continued to lose weight. The
non-hypnosis group didn’t. (1985).
More Weight Lost Initially With Hypnosis
60 women who
wanted to lose weight were divided into two groups. One received hypnosis. One
didn’t.
The
difference between the groups was dramatic.
The groups
using hypnosis lost an average of 17 pounds. The non-hypnosis group lost an
average of only .5 pounds. (1986).
Hypnosis' Power in Weight Loss
Confirmed by Meta-analysis
In 1996, a
meta-analysis study was performed to investigate the results of adding hypnosis
to weight loss treatment A meta-analysis is a scientific review that compares
the results of many different studies. Its purpose was to determine the impact
of hypnosis on weight loss.
The analysis
confirmed that adding hypnosis to weight loss programs not only increases
initial results, but also helps assure long-term success.
The findings
were startling. They reported an average increase in pounds lost of 97% in
weight loss during treatment when hypnosis is added. More important, and even
more impressive, hypnosis increased the long-term weight loss after treatment by
over 146%.

Program
Hypnotherapy Program
Your
personal program will begin
with an initial month long, three sessions of hypnotherapy. These are designed
to break the cycle of weight gain, create a burning desire to succeed, build a
positive body self-image and replace feelings of failure with a firm belief that
you can succeed.
With my help, you will
design a simple plan for weight loss beginning with your first visit. You will
then be hypnotically programmed to follow your program automatically. Instead of
relying on willpower, you will be hypnotized to use your subconscious mind to
change the way you think, act and feel about your body and taking care of it.
You can expect
immediate weight loss as you change your mind about your body.
Each
session and each program is unique for the individual client. My one-on-one
program hypnosis and individual counseling will help you to achieve and maintain
a high level of motivation. I do not propose or oppose any particular diet or
weight loss strategy. That is up to you. However, I do promise you that you will
not feel deprived.
I will address in hypnosis specific issues such as binges, lack of exercise,
addiction to carbohydrates, late night eating, emotional eating, unconscious
eating and others as they apply to you. Chronically obese clients are more than
welcome; however, it must be understood that this is
not a medical weight loss program so it is essential that your
program be supervised by a physician who is aware of your weight issues.
The first two
hypnotherapy sessions take place a week apart. Then we will wait two weeks
before the third session to allow the suggestions to take root in your daily
routine. You will be given a free audiotape recording of each session and asked
to listen to this tape on a daily basis if possible. This reinforcement will
help to make the positive suggestions you have received a part of you.
A follow-up session is
recommended, but not required, after a month and then after three months. Some
people find the live sessions with hypnosis and coaching particularly helpful.
Typically, hypnotherapy is
used to support a gradual change in lifestyle, not a quick fix diet. There are
no special foods to eat. You just eat a little less and make better choices.
Exercise is an important part of weight loss and you will be gradually guided
into a program that fits your interest and schedule.
The cost for each
hypnotherapy session is $85 and lasts about an hour. The cost includes a free
audiotape of your session. So your total investment will be $255; however, you
don't have to go by faith. If you are like most people, you will start noticing
results after the first session.
